Between May and July, the number of reported vaccine related deaths jumped from 210 to 399 — almost doubling. No surprise given the number of doses more than doubled. And no surprise that the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines are showing similar death rates as in other countries: 49 and 64 per million, respectively. For comparison, the rate is 66 per million in the US, which uses predominantly Pfizer.
210 deaths reported as of May
Like most countries, Australia maintains a vaccine reporting system. Specifically, the Therapeutic Goods Administration maintains a Database of Adverse Event Notifications (DAEN).
As of May 23, 1.9 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses had been administered in Australia, along with 1.7 million Pfizer, bringing the total to 3.6 million.
Over the short period the vaccines have been administered, DAEN has received 15,273 reports for AZ and 6,652 for Pfizer, including 94 AZ deaths and 109 Pfizer deaths.

TGA attempts to deny these are related to the vaccine
Of course, the TGA went into an absurd explanation about the expected number of natural deaths in 3.6 million people per year, totally ignoring the fact that doctors only report deaths when the vaccine is suspected of causing it.
Only one death in Australia has been officially linked to a Covid vaccine. All the rest have been attributed to strokes, heart attacks, and other afflictions which a vaccine couldn’t possibly have caused.

To show how absurd this is, compare it to another popular vaccine: Prevenar 13.
This is a vaccine recommended for people over 50 for pneumococcal and for children. It’s a popular vaccine and has been in use since 2011.
Over ten years, there have been 5,127 reports of side effects, 461 where it was the sole suspect of the side effects (i.e. not used in conjunction with other vaccines), and 11 deaths. That’s not bad considering that Australia is one of the most vaccinated countries in the world.
In every case, death was only reported because it was suspected to be related to either Prevenar 13, a drag that was administered at a similar time, or an interaction between two or more drugs. Deaths that are not suspected to be related to the vaccine or another drug taken at the same time are NOT REPORTED.
By the TGA’s logic, there should be THOUSANDS of deaths by now, based on the natural death rate. But nope. Funny thing about doctors is that they have a pretty good idea of the actual cause when a person keels over a dies, Anyone in palliative care is going to die anyway. That’s the definition of palliative care. Similarly, when someone gets run over by a truck, neither Covid nor the vaccine likely had an impact. But when an otherwise healthy person drops dead after a vaccine, you’re pretty sure there’s a link.

Update: As of July 18, the number of doses hit 10 million, with total reported vaccine related deaths at 399 and official vaccine deaths at 6 (all AstraZeneca).
Even though more people die after the Pfizer vaccine, it is still seen as the safer one. Go figure.
