New York has gone through lockdowns, color coded restrictions, mask wearing enforcement, social distancing, BLM protests, daily briefings from their Emmy award winning governor, and the 2nd highest mortality rate in the country.
Much of the city is still under lockdown, restaurants are closed, businesses are going bankrupt, at least 7% of the population has tested positive, and New Yorkers are being encouraged to download an “anonymous” tracking app to let them know if they’ve been in contact with anyone with COVID-19.
I have my own app. It just says, “You have.”
And for what? Oh yeah, the fateful second wave.

It could have been much worse. I mean, even New Jersey had a higher mortality rate than New York. More specifically, ONLY New Jersey had a higher mortality rate than New York.
